About your Instructor
Hello, I’m Richard Bias, also known as Bull Shanagan.
With a career spanning three decades, I immersed myself in the manufacturing industry, dedicating two decades to mastering CNC machining across 3, 4, and 5-axis platforms.
This journey led me to precision-machining components for the aerospace sector and delve into the world of prototyping, pushing the boundaries of what’s achievable.
Even in retirement, my love for my skill endures. I continue to work with my custom-built CNC machine, ensuring that the art of precision machining remains an integral part of my life.
In the interlude between my professional years and retirement, I ventured into the dynamic realm of crafting and home-based hobbies.
It was here that I discovered a noticeable dearth of accessible resources and educational materials for fellow enthusiasts. This observation ignited a new purpose within me.
My objective is clear: to serve as a conduit, connecting the spheres of crafting and CNC enthusiasts. Armed with years of hands-on experience and an ardent dedication to education, I set out to curate a collection of resources. From comprehensive guides to hands-on workshops, I aim to empower individuals with the knowledge and skills needed to bring their creative visions to life.
Beyond the technicalities, you’ll find me at the juncture of innovation and artistry, consistently seeking fresh avenues to explore and expand the possibilities within this dynamic field. Each project is an opportunity not just to craft functional pieces, but to tell a story—a story woven with threads of precision, dedication, and the harmonious union of technology and creativity.
So, whether you’re a seasoned machinist seeking to refine your skills or a budding crafter eager to delve into the world of CNC, know that you’ve found a kindred spirit in me. Together, let’s embark on a journey of discovery, where creativity knows no bounds, and the potential is limited only by our imagination.
